Elias 32 and may be associated with the faint bridge of nebulosity connecting the two. This bridge has led some to surmise that the two stars are somehow physically connected.
Elias 32 will probably become a faint star with about one half to one third the mass of our Sun. In its present, uncondensed state it is quite large and so has more surface area to emit photons. The nebulosity in the upper right of the image indicates that a great deal of material remains in the vicinity.
Elias 33 is larger than Elias 32 and probably slightly closer to becoming a star. Assuming both protostars were formed at the same time, Elias 33ΓÇöwith a mass about one and a half times that of
